Enigmatic and fascinating people, such as Montserrat, the Messiah, cannot be approached from an internal perspective. The view from an outside person will help us revealing her evolution, her secrets and her believes.
In this story, her children Enric and Irene will guide us and will bring us closer to Montserrat, both in the present and in the past.
Enric and Irene whose lives have been marked by trauma, deal with it a very different way: Enric has become a violent but reserved man with a toxic attitude to sex. Irene has ignored her past pretending to be a normal person. She hides and doesn’t talk about her anxiety, but deep inside she is frightened and sad.
When the video of the Stella Maris music group goes viral, the memories of childhood trauma arise, and our story begins uncovering the dark past and existing secrets of the family. Those memories will combine to create a story that takes place in two different moments and little by little, we will discover the secrets of that family and Montserrat’s, the mother.
Montserrat is the cause of everything. She is the beginning and the end. Montserrat is a powerful and fascinating, yet terrible, person. Every night, God whispers to her ear. She is a narcissist mother who becomes a cult leader. It is a family cult to whom, according to her own words, God has entrusted with a mission: to save Humanity from the end of the world with music.
When they are no longer a mystery for the audience, we will discover Stella Maris world. We will see how they relate to each other, to the outside world, to music and technology.
